London Underground opened its doors to the public 150 years ago today. To mark the anniversary, we and Art on the Underground have published The Roundel, in which one hundred artists reinterpret the company's iconic logo with wonderfully unexpected results. In our first season of publishing, we are very proud to see our new title The Roundel, published in association with Art on the Underground, appear in the front window of Waterstones HQ on Piccadilly – alongside Jamie, Nigella, Nigel, Hugh, Salman … and the Queen Mother. Inside the store, the book appears on the 'Best of London' and 'Best of Design' shelves. Meanwhile, Terence Donovan Fashion can be found in the 'Best of Photography' and 'Photographic Icons' sections of the shop.

Following its successful showing at MK Gallery, the Pushwagner exhibition has moved to the artist's home country and the Haugar Vestfold Kunstmuseum in Tønsberg, Norway. One of the most recognizable paintings in the world was sold for nearly £1 million pounds at Bonhams in London today, double its estimate. Vladimir Tretchikoff's Chinese Girl, known as the 'Green Lady', was bought by British businessman and jeweller Laurence Graff. The picture features on the cover of our forthcoming book Incredible Tretchikoff, the amazing account of this controversial artist's extraordinary life. The video for David Bowie's long-awaited new single 'The Stars (Are Out Tonight)', starring Bowie and Tilda Swinton as a happily married couple, features Vladimir Tretchikoff's Chinese Girl, also known as the 'Green Lady'. Bowie grew up with a reproduction of the celebrated painting hanging above the mantelpiece in his family home. Click here for more images from the video. This unique partnership between The Royal Ballet and the National Gallery is
a highlight of the London 2012 Festival.
It brings together some of the finest names in contemporary choreography, art and music to create three new ballets inspired by the masterpieces of Titian. The project launches on 11 July with
the opening of an exhibition at the National Gallery and on 14 July with performances at the Royal Opera House. In January 2013, Art / Books shall be publishing a beautiful book to record this very special collaboration.
